Mission Statement
Our mission is to make the healing ministry of Jesus Christ available to all!
History
During the summer of 2000, Cal Pierce, Director of the Spokane Healing Rooms, was scheduled to conduct a conference in Knoxville, Tennessee in December, 2000. Leonard Sisson, Pastor of Grace Connection Church in Knoxville, was the conference coordinator. During that time, God impressed on Pastor Sisson that He wanted a Healing Rooms ministry established in Knoxville and that the congregation at Grace Connection should lead the effort. Pastor Sisson shared his vision with the church leadership of Grace Connection during a meeting on Thursday, August 24, 2000. They agreed to seek the Lord for a confirmation. The first session of a Prophetic Conference with Jim Goll and Bobby Conner was held the next evening, Friday, August 25, at New Covenant Fellowship in Knoxville. The speaker that night was Jim Goll, who had no prior knowledge of the Healing Rooms conference scheduled for Knoxville nor any knowledge of Pastor Sisson's leading to begin a Healing Rooms ministry here. Jim came into the meeting that evening wearing a Spokane Healing Rooms shirt. At the end of his message he prophesied that Healing Rooms were coming to Knoxville. As a confirmation of the prophetic word, the conference hosts then asked Pastor Sisson to come forward and tell of plans for a Healing Rooms conference in Knoxville, which he did. At that point Jim Goll explained that God had instructed him earlier that day to wear the Healing Rooms shirt that evening and that He would show him the man he was to give the shirt to who would be directing the Knoxville Healing Rooms ministry. Jim then pointed to Pastor Sisson and declared, "You are the man!"
After further prayer and consultation with church and ministry leaders in the Knoxville area, the establishment of Healing Rooms Ministries of Knoxville, Tennessee, was initiated. Cal and Michelle Pierce along with four ministry team members from the Spokane Healing Rooms conducted a Healing Ministry Conference in December, 2000, and helped inaugurate the Knoxville ministry. Training for the first ministry team members was conducted January through mid-March, 2001 with over 100 individuals from several churches participating.
Healing Rooms Ministries of Knoxville opened for operation April 27, 2001.
Gary Hagerman, D.C., Director of Knoxville Healing Rooms - North, began our branch in July of 2005.
Statement of Faith
1. We believe the Bible, both Old and New Testaments, to be inspired by God and to be the only infallible, authoritative Word of God; it is our rule for faith and conduct.
2. We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three Persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
3. We believe that Jesus Christ is both true God and true man; that:
He was born of a virgin.
He lived a sinless life.
He performed miracles.
He died for the sins of mankind.
He was raised from the dead bodily and ascended to the right hand of God.
He is the High Priest, Advocate, Intercessor and Mediator of the New Covenant.
He will return to this earth in power and glory.
4. We believe that personal salvation is received by a repentant acknowledgment of the failure of one's own way and a commitment to and confession of Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord with the consequential regeneration and indwelling of our spirit by the Holy Spirit.
5. We believe that baptism by immersion in water is a response of obedience and a declaration of discipleship by all those who have trusted in Jesus Christ for salvation and submitted to Him as Lord.
6. We believe that the baptism of the Holy Spirit, with the ability to speak in unlearned tongues, is promised to every person who has trusted in Jesus Christ for salvation and submitted to Him as Lord.
7. We believe in the present ministry of the Person of the Holy Spirit who:
Indwells all born-again believers.
Empowers believers for godly living and service.
Guides and teaches believers in being conformed to the life of Jesus Christ.
Imparts supernatural gifts to believers enabling them to do the works of Jesus Christ.
8. We believe that deliverance from sickness and disease is provided by the atonement of Jesus Christ.
9. We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved to the resurrection of everlasting life and joy in the presence of God and they that are lost to the resurrection of everlasting conscious punishment and separation from God.
10. We believe that all who are regenerated through faith in Jesus Christ become members of the body of Christ, the church universal, and that active participation in a local church is the will of God for every believer, being essential for the advancement of God's kingdom as well as for personal spiritual growth.
